Help me understand this puzzle. Promoting by capturing a checking piece.

I think its because you don't really have like a follow-up to that, because you can't go Rh6 like getting a better position with doubled rooks
Because white pawn is on start position. Pay attention to the fact that white pawn is on 2-nd rank and thats how you can understand that this pawn has not moved yet and it must move in opposite direction
Ughhhh I feel like an idiot. Of course it's me being stupid. There goes 20 minutes of me searching chess rules for some weird "cannot promote/capture" rule.

Thanks guys.
Because your pawn goes up the board towards d1 square, but that it goes to d8 you would still not be able to take because g5 rook pins it. Correct is taking h4 pawn with rook on b4 because you double your rooks with check and after only move K g6 you have another check R h6+ it is important to see that this check attacks the rook through the king. After K f5 comes R f1+ that is way was important to take on h4 with b4 rook at the start. The puzzle ends here but king could go e5 and than simple R e1+ now with a double attack against R at e6 wins it. Hope that helps
In puzzles, when it is black to move, black is at the bottom. When white to move, whit at the bottom. Contrary to some conventions, and it has fooled me several times also.

Wow, 20 minutes? That's dedication if I've seen it
