Variant: Capture (n) pawns to win!

Imagine a chess variant.

If you capture a certain number of pawns, you win instantly. Clearly, this is not playable if that number is 1 or 2, since white wins too quickly.

What about 5 pawns as the goal? Queen, two knights, and two bishops could be quickly sacrificed for the win. Or maybe not. A quick trade of minor pieces could make this a suicidal plan.

5 to win sounds like it would make for very short games. Interesting idea, and would have a massive impact on opening choice.

Yeah, it will really affect openings. I think white will probably end up as the attacker, and have better winning chances.
