Which do you prefer: bishop or knight?

> I think the bishop is better because it's a long range piece, more useful and more maniable than a knight because knights are short range and suck in endgames, also the bishop pair is stronger than the knight pair. Also, the knight is more limited since it has less possible moves (8 and less if stuck in the corner) than a bishop (13 and less). Sorry horsey, but bishey has beaten you!

hey why not knight. I once made my grandpa dizzy with them well playing chess in this site and I think I win.
WAIT IM GOING CRAZY! THE LAST CHAT I PUT IN THIS FORUM WAS WRONG! I VOTE WITH KNIGHT AND BISHOP CAUSE I BEAT HIM WITH THOOSE . I`m changing my mind. bishop and knight are the best.
Depends on situation. If in open positions, I prefer the Bishop, but in closed positions, the Knight.
B coz it can open up the king more easily (Greek gift, Evan’s gambit, scotch gambit etc...). When the N has the same opportunity the other player missed on a 2 move threat usually. Also B is stronger in endgames in general.
Everyone has interesting answers to be honest. But personally i like bishop more than the knight. The only time i like knights more than bishops is during the endgame. :)
