NM Abhishek Handigol

Hi! I'm Abhishek Handigol. I'm 23 years old and I'm from California (San Francisco Bay Area). I graduated two years ago from University of California, Davis with a Bachelor's in Computer Science. I recently achieved the NM title after a 10 year plateau, and am inspired to help others do the same! No matter your age or playing level, I'm confident that I can help you improve your game.

I learned chess when I was 5 and played my first tournament when I was 8. I've won multiple state championships for my age group and frequently placed in the top 50 in the nation for my age. I've played internationally in North America as well.

I've taught over 30 students for 10+ years and have had great success with them.

I like writing, and I like to write about my chess experiences!

I like to play very subtly and build up my position, playing on both sides of the board and leaving my opponent defenseless to my attack! I can help with any aspect of the game, like opening, middlegame and endgame, and even chess psychology.

I prepare lessons based on your games, and I'll assign homework after every class. I will also showcase games by chess masters to inspire you and teach you how to crush your opponents!
