The Difference

Hey everyone! Please comment if you found interesting, helpful, or even if you disagree! (Or think I left something out.)
Very very good, and helpful for players at all levels :)

Thank you, appreciate it!
Hi @ebk1976! Your blog gives some helpful tips, all of which can be put to use right away. You also have a writing style that is both clear and encouraging. Nice job!

One other thing that might make a difference in improvement is reading from a chess book or watching a chess video with the purpose of learning helpful principles from time to time. (But perhaps you were saving this for a future blog post, since this is such a big topic.) I believe that this, along with playing and then analyzing these games afterwards, seemed to help me to improve a bit since joining Lichess four years ago. In any case, thank you for taking the time to write this post!
Hey @rachel8 Thank you for your kind words! Yes, I 100% agree there are many more ways to improve, among them those that you listed. However, I wrote this blog specifically on how to play games in order to get better, which is only one part of chess improvement. Thanks for the feedback!
Its true!
Wy this is the question.
And your rit.

After reading the opening of your post again, I see that was the case -- yikes, I must've been pretty tired last night! Carry on with your fine work, ebk!
This is very well written, compressive and helpful. I will certainly begin to utilize some of these strategies. Thank you @ebk1976!
