Same Game

I don't think it has ever happened to me, but has anyone else ever played the same game of chess twice? It may occur with masters, but not one of my games has ever been the same.

yeah it definitely has already happened, mostly with random opening tricks. this one in particular came to mind

I have had it happen in my favorite line in the QGD. The games were a week apart by different opponents. I won both ;D due to the same mistake. Probably will never happen again but I suppose it could.

Tricks aside, it seems that games will be different. I understand the pattern wins being the same, but outside of that, I can't see it happening.
