How to prevent mouse slips

I suffer daily from mouse slips due to either accidentally letting the mouse click go too early, accidental click and moves, and accidental mouse movements. How does everyone prevent these when playing?
You can click once on the departure square and once on the destination square. Then the move will be played.

This should cut down the problem of dropping a piece on an unintended square.

The downside is that I find this double-click method takes me a little bit longer than drag-and-drop. I guess nothing's perfect!
You prevent mouse slips by being more careful.

You don't even play bullet, it's not like you don't have to to play precisely.
Lol are you seriously trying to argue that you don't have time to not mouse slip in games that are 3 minutes or longer?

Place the piece where you want it to go. I'm serious, that is the best solution to your problem.
My record is 25 hits in 13 seconds. 2.56/s

And I've been drinking!

42 hits in 20 seconds. 2.69/s

I can prove it with a screenshot if necessary. I dare somebody to beat this record.
I suggest Counter strike weapons training mode for best accuracy.
