e4 I prefer
"... With White only the [1 e4] opening should be played. Although there is no difference in value between [1 e4] and [1 d4] and the choice among masters is largely a matter of taste, the basic ideas in the [1 e4] openings are easier to grasp and more readily applicable, ..." - GM Reuben Fine in a 1941 book for beginners
e4; a lot more tricks and is in my opinion more fun to play with
I too prefer 1.e4, though you've got to give credit where it's due: 1.d4 can also lead to very interesting and complex, sometimes more tactical dominated, sometimes more positional positions.
But it is e4 where my heart lies, all my favorite openings arize from that position, well, almost all :) you know).

Either one sounds ok to me
Been an e4 player for don't remember how long. But began playing d4 recently. Wanna start playing both equally often.
I am a e4 player
I play b3 and g6.
1.d4 is obviously better because it is protected and it combines with c4 easier than e4 with f4.
1.e4 is obviously better because it is harder to play later than move 1 than d4 is and it's quicker in development.
So the answer is yes.

I think that more people prefer e4 than d4
