AnalysisTacticsOpeningStrategy
Do you feel that your level of play is stagnant? I will share with you some recommendations to improve your chess level based on my Experience as Chess coach and player

Hi!
In these blog I will share with you some tips to improve your chess level and give some recommendations to increase your rating in 200-300 points

Chess is not a easy game, in the begining looks very complex. You need to learn about openings, strategy concepts , endgames. Maybe you feel exhasuted is like you starting making exercise after a long periord stopped and you feel tired very fast

The first important thing we should understand is that our level will not magically change for playing some games on internet or see some Youtube Videos. You will need a action plan, a guide to follow and obvisualy undertand you weeakness.

The importance of Tactics

One of the most important aspects is train the tactis, because in every single game your vision tactic is present and also can change totally the result of the game. Improve chess tactics can be done using the lichess section of tactics. There are other interesting platforms such as chess.com andchesstempo .
My recommendation here is try to start in the easy mode, it will provide the motivation for doing more and more (like a good adiction) then if you think is very easy you can increase the level of dificulty. Try to do at least 2-3 per week as routine and spend around 20 minutes, depending of you chess level set a goal to increase you rating elo in 100 points in 3 months.

Analyse your Games

Play rapid games is very fun and can be addicted. Almost All players like playing blitz games, it is easy and fast like the fast food on McDonalds and can have the same effects in your game

I recommend you not follow these paterns because your game can be contaminated. It is better playing games with the purpose of doing a good game, making good movements , instead of moving fast for win.

The best thing you can do is play at 10 minutes + 5 seconds and then analyse your game, trying to find the key movements and the points when you make a mistake, as in life, it is a process of introspection and analyse your self

The importance of Openings

Study openings can be boring or maybe you don't have a good memory and you are thinking it is not for you.

  • “Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make men happy.” – Siegbert Tarrasch
  • Start with the basics idea, you need to understand the principles and the logic behind each move, so you will remember the ideas in the future.
  • If you are a beginner player (1200-1400) I recommend you play easy openings that you feel you understand good and are adapted to your chess style
  • At the begining build your own openings repertorie can be hard because there a lot of positions and differents option so can be frustrated. My recommendation here is speak with a chess coach than understand you weakness and your chess style and based on that start working, you will save a lot of time
